We successfully completed our second Model Makeover Day and it was fantastic! To date, we have raised $750 toward Angels in Action and we are hoping to raise more over the coming years.
At this last MMD, we had a special guest Cheryl Brink, a reporter from the Stittsville.

Being held at Spahara in Bells Corners, the second Model Makeover Day is going to include a few added items to make your makeover day extra special!
The price includes having your makeup applied, scalp massage as well as having your hair cut and styled. This will be followed by a glamour photo shoot with
Tripp Photography. Your special day also includes two 8x10 prints so you can remember your makeover forever! As an added bonus, your makeover also includes a skin analysis, mini spa facial and decolette massage which are available to you after the Model Makeover Day on May 14, and can be booked directly through Spahara.

Our first ever Model Makeover Day event, held this past Sunday March 22, 2009 at the Bourget Inn & Spa was a huge success! All the participants went through dramatic transformations thanks to our talented Model Makeover Day team. The team consisted of hairstylists Melanie Robinette and Kristen Tagieff of Kool World Hair Design, Eric Wang from Versailles Academy and freelance makeup artists Tammy Desforges and Rita Paul.
Tomorrow is Model Makeover Day's debut! Thanks to Cristie Vito from Stellar Events, everything should carry on without a hitch. We have many volunteers helping, since one of the main goals is to support Angels in Action, a local charity supporting those with Ovarian Cancer. We have also had support from Bob Derro from AM 1310 for running an interview with myself during his show all this week! Thanks Brother Bob!
A large thanks to the Bourget Inn and Spa for hosting our first event. They have been extremely generous with donating time and meals, as well as spa package in the silent auction.
Thanks to Dominique Levesque and Willy Perkins from Dominique Bridal, who have generously lent us some gorgeous gowns for the makeover women to wear to complete their look.
Other support has come from Rachel Norman of Tai Knots Jewellery, who has been so generous in giving away a free pair of earrings to each participant, as well as lending use of some added matching jewellery.
Thanks to the volunteers who are going to assist with hair, makeup, manicures, and general organization of the event. More info about these great people in the next update.
I am just so excited about tomorrow, I'm not sure if I will be able to sleep!
